Contemporary Tulip Table

2016

We were privately commissioned to build a contemporary dining room table for a home in Ipswich. The owner wanted the table to mimic some of their artwork including a piece by Alexander Calder. We chose a beautiful slab of Tulip from Berkshire Products in Western, MA. From there we made a stainless steel corner that we mortised seamlessly into the table. The legs were made by rolling 1/2” thick steel to create a cantilever effect. Once installed, we lagged the table through the dining room floor. This is truly a one-of-a-kind table.
